Snafu Avatar Storylines and funerals

Happy
10:02 AM Monday, June 4, 2007
So yar, it is exam season and like Kitsu said everyone is über busy with sutdying and stuff. Trolls too you know! And as she also said we're not exactly out of the story mode yet, or this arc to be precisey since there are a few things that need to be clarified. And yay, full colours *cheers*.

Today I attended a funeral. My friends' dad passed away after fighting a loosing battle with cancer. Remember kids, it takes no prisoners of war. As always when being with other people I was fascinated by the different reactions and behaviour at the procession (yes, I love studying people). It has not been long since I have been at a funeral in my family circles so I knew the pain his close relatives were going through and I empathized with them. On the other hand a lot of other people seemed to be there just because of protocol (the man used to be a big fish in the government, secret agency section) and I really felt sorry for them, I pitied them. Uttering empty words because they felt they needed to say them. Oh well...

On a lighter note, I bought myself the core WFRP (Warhammer fantasy roleplay) book and I must say that I immediately fell in love with the system (it is simple and yet offers complex options) and the setting (how could I not, we're talking about Warhammer). So despite having school obligations I sneak minutes here and there already plotting on a campaign, ke ke ke...

Snafu Avatar Just another manic Monday...

Hello guys! Hope this Monday won’t turn out to be too long for you? Because mine surely will. I have an exam on Wednesday and thus have 2 hectic days of cramming in front of me. T_T

I took Spikecomix’s suggestion about outlines very seriously, and added some other effects that I’ve never tried before. I still need to find a solution for Impy’s tail-flame, I’m not really fond of this one… The only problem now is time. This took WAY too long to make (a lot more than it should to give the preset result) so I need to come up with something. X.x;;;

Some time ago, there was somebody confused about what Silver actually is. I don’t blame them, because in the monochrome first pages, it really was hard tell. She’s a dragon, a specific kind of dragon, actually (hazard a guess, anyone? ^_^) – but more on that (and other things) in the upcoming strips. We’re not entirely out of story-mode, because there’s still some basic things to put down, such as what did the breaking of the seal exactly cause… or what was it sealing in the first place. Not to mention the characters… >_>

I’ll go cram now. Wish me luck, I’ll need it!

Thanks Dave! =D I’m just glad everything works, really. Could have been a lot worse, right? Kinda like LJ... >_>

Has anybody been following the whole commotion with SixApart and LiveJournal? … because honestly. It’s possibly the worst PR slip of the year (so far). u_u; I’d live my life with a paper bag over my head for the rest of my life if I was the person in charge. Good job, fellas! Now I know what half of my oral exams with be about! *does PR* I wonder why is this not on BBC yet? I mean they post about Google's mapping and ignore deleted users? What is wrong with this world? O_O; ... well, at least Wiki's still reliable.

Not to mention this was very cute. 2 days too late and not worth two and half years of my time, but cute. So, with LJ getting free speech out of the way once an for all - who’s up for moving with the migrating crowd and inhabit GreatestJournal?

9_9;

Snafu Avatar Colourvision and trolls in the outer realms

Happy

There we go, double update and an immense technological leap for humanity. Colours! Kek.

We're finished with the intro so expect things to not be so story oriented from this point on. There will still be story cycles spanning a few strips, but I must disappoint those of you who expected this to be an ongoing story comic, for it will not be so. Some of you also noticed that on the FT cover there's a fourth character who has not been introduced yet. Hang in there, he will appear very soon.

I have finally decided to install The Burning Crusade and give it a try. Mind , I have no plan to ever join a guild and do raids whatsoever, for I have been there and done that. I do not need a six days per week night shift that gives no paycheck. So I'll just be doing the solo content and the five man content with a bunch of my friends. So ye, I gave Hellfire Peninsula a try and the game is as good as I remeber it to be. And if not for everything else, the game is worth playing for moments like this.

Snafu Avatar Bleedman?! ABUH?

Fox

O_O ... I'm not really sure what just happened? Fox here, mind. I'm pretty sure I did this right, even the server recognizes me - but the page posts Bleedman instead? *laughs* I bet nobody's confused about this not being his work anyway, right? XD *worships Bleed*

I'll contact Dave about this. It's probably just minor error in the code. ^^;

Here we go, double update. And I think that's about it for the intro. ^_^; Good riddance OpenCanvas, that program is so lost on me. *shudders* The seal is broken, so back to color and Photoshop, thankfully.

Since this is the first time I’m posting here, I’d like to thank Dave for this opportunity. (Hope the convention went well?) But not only him, thanks for all the support we got, as well. Like I said on the forum, we’re gonna keep trying to live up to the expectations. Please feel free to tag along for the ride.

I’m rather brain-dead as in what to say. ^_^; I had a week from hell that I’m just glad is over. But Stephen King helps. *loves him* I’m a big fan of his, even though I’ll admit I’m not very good at digesting his ‘Richard Bachman’ material. Since last year I developed this habit of buying one of his books wherever I go. I don’t have such a huge collection so far, just three, but of course I don’t intend to stop- ^_^; Funny thing was, when I went to London last January I bought one of his collection of short stories, 'Four Past Midnight', and was very tempted to start reading it on the plane-ride back. Good thing my bro was there to distract me with postcard writing because the first story in it was 'The Langoliers'. XD My all-time favorite is ‘Hearts in Atlantis’. Despite everything, it’s the one that’s rooted in me deepest. I love it how he makes me believe in his ‘fairy-tales’, he’s about the only writer that can still do that.

XD Can’t wait to hit London again this summer though. I really love it there. I wonder which book I should get this time?
